2025 BCT Viola Davis Summer Program
Summer 2025 Lottery Opens March 14th!
Calling all rising 3rd-8th graders! Come spend your summer with us at BCT exploring your creative side, making up characters, singing songs, developing storylines, forging new friendships, and writing plays that we’ll produce as part of our 2025-2026 season! With lunch, playground time, talent shows and karaoke parties thrown in too!
Scholarships
Partial and Full Scholarships are always available for all who are in need.
Key Dates
- March 1st – 14th: Fill out the lottery form to express your interest in our Summer 2025 program.
- March 17th – 21st: Summer 2025 First-Round Lottery is processed
- March 21st: Families notified of lottery results
- March 31st: Registration deadline for lottery winners. After this date, we will begin opening spots to people on our waitlists.
- July 7th – 11th: Camp Week 1
- July 14th – 18th: Camp Week 2
- July 28th – August 1st: Camp Week 3
BCT Viola Davis Summer 2025 Program
This year, we have two different camp formats: Show-In-A-Week and our traditional Write-A-Musical class.
In Show-In-A-Week, campers will create their own show in one week, developing characters and a storyline on Day 1, and including songs they already know and love! Teaching Artists will guide them in improv, singing, and choreography workshops to build their show from scratch and present it to friends and family in our space on the last day of camp!
In Write-A-Musical (rising 6th-8th graders only), campers will work with Teaching Artists to create a 25-minute musical for 5th-8th graders that BCT will produce in our 2025-2026 season. Characters, storylines, lyrics, and melodies are devised in camp with a reading of the full draft at the end of the summer for friends and family!

Tuition is $500 per week of camp and includes full class, lunch, activities and materials fees.
No child will be refused for an inability to pay. Ask about our scholarships!

Spring 2025 Main Stage Musical Production Classes
Children are cast in, rehearse, and perform an original musical play! Classes are limited to 18 students. At the end of the semester, students will perform live at Brooklyn Music School and the performances will be streamed for friends and family.
- MainStage 3 Classes (A3, B3, C3) run for 12 weeks, from February 4 – May 11, 2025
- MainStage 4 Classes (A4, B4, C4) run for 12 weeks from February 25 – June 8, 2025
- Teen Ensemble Classes run for 15 weeks from February 26 – June 15
Tuition includes full class, costume, and video of final performance.
No child will be refused for an inability to pay. Ask about our scholarships!
A non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit is required to reserve your child’s spot.
A Classes (1st-3rd Grade)
Students in 1st – 3rd grades may enroll in A classes. These classes are 75 minutes in length and the final shows run between 12-15 minutes, with three songs. Each student will have at least 4 lines. Our teaching artists use a variety of techniques to engage early learners and students experiencing acting and singing for the very first time. No academic skills or history with musical theatre are assumed, all students are set up for success.

Students in 3rd – 5th grades may enroll in B classes. These classes are an hour and 45 minutes in length and the final shows running around 20 minutes with four songs. Each student will have at least 5 lines.

Our FREE weekend classes are open to children who qualify for free or reduced lunch
(family of 4 household income under $50K).
